In pre partition era Sindhis by & large were well of, contended & well established in business at their respective places where they lived. After the partition most of Sindhis had to leave their native places & came to India virtually without anything. Some of them settling down in different parts of India & few others aboard. At the relevant time there was no alternative for them but to sacrifice for sake opf their honour & country. Many of them had to under go lot of hardship & difficulties to the extent of their survival. Hopwever, with their undomiantable courage & perseverance they could over come all their hurdls & managed to settle down in a position they are today.

     Sant Kanwaram, Sant Leela shah, Saint Tenooram, etc are few well known Saints of Sindh. They taught us valueb of peace & love towards humankind. In this land of Sufi fakirs & Saints, Maharaj Purshottam, our Beloved Baba was born at Rohri.

     He started to teach Sanskrit by starting Dharamsabha on very small scale. After partition he settled down in Ulhasnagar where he started "Sarswat Brahmin Mastan". Along with others he started social activities & upliftment of socially weak or underprivileged community. Subsequently he came down to andheri,(Mumbai).

     Here he started gathering other Sindhis on one platform & started in tandem with Andheri Sindhi Panchayat which had members residing between Santacruz to Jogeshwari. With this, Sindhi welfare association came into being. At this point of time the dream of fisrt sindhi mandir took shape. Although it was a very small step but a big leap for the peace loving community. His dream was to make a Dhramsthan, Community hall dharamshala & other activities such as, cow shelter (gaushala) & vradhasham With his untiring efforts the first sindhi Mandir named "Purhottam Lalasai Mandir" came into being at Andheri(west). With his blessings our trust came to be formed.We started our soicail activities on very limited scale from this mandir still carrying on with the same.However his dream of having composite facilities like Dharamasthan, Dharamshala community hall Mandir at one place remained unfulfilled With his blessing & our hard work of 11 long years we have beren able to found out this 2 stroyed mansion. Which is adequate place for Community hall, Mandir, Dharamshala at one place.

The cost of acquiring the same would be around US$1 million dollars.
