Cheti - Chand Jo Melo : Every year 1st/2nd tithi of Chet depending upon the new moon day Sindhis celebrate the festival of CHETI CHAND. This is considered to be New Year for Sindhis. We also celebrate cheti-chand as per Sindhi culture. To begin with, Devotees assemble in Mandir and offer akhofullo to the main bahirano sahib of Temple and light the jyot(sacred fire). Then starts Sindhi cultural programme such as singing & dancing by Sindhi artists. 108 bahiranas for individuals are kept and pooja offered.Then Sindhi artists perform various Sindhi cultural programmes with Chhej (Sindhi folkdance) and music. After Arti , Langar Prasad is served to about three to four thousand devotees followed by Procession of Bahirana Sahib. On the way to Daryashah (Versova Beach). Devotees sing & dance. After Palav the Bahirana sahib is immersed with full respect and honour to Lord Jhulelal. We do not put commercial banners/advertisements etc. Our motto is to educate the younger generation about the Sindhi Sabhayata & rich culture.

Chand - (New moon day) : Every month on Chand-Raat(new moon day) Devotees assemble in Mandir to celebrate the Chand. After offering Akhofullo to Puj Bahirana Sahib & light the jyot. Devotees sing the devotional songs & Panjras, after Palau with respect the Bahirano Sahib is immersed.

Shiv Mansa Vacha Fast- (Chaumasa) : Shiv Mansa Vacha fast starts from the first Monday of Sharavan month This goes on for 4 months till the 4th of Kartik Sudi Choth. Every Monday during the day, Devotees assemble in the Mandir & offer Rudra Abhishek Puja by pouring Jal, Milk,Pancha-Amrit on Shivling. Akk- Dhatura, Bell Patra, garlands, thandai, attar, fruits etc. After the Puja, the Katha of Shiv Mansa Vaccha is recited by Swami Umeshji Maharaj. In the end the Prasad and Thandai is distributed.On Udhyapan (closing day), those who had kept fast for 4 months, break the fast with rot (Kuti) which is made of wheat, Jaggery, ghee.

Teejri : Girls / married women keep this fast for their would be husbands / husbands for their long life & well being. They offer water to Tejri mata at night after offering Argh to moon they break the fast.

Shree Krishna Janamashtmi Utsav : Birth of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great pomp & show. At night we do Abhishek of Bal Mukund Gopal & place him in cradle and after Bhog of butter & sugar candy Devotees dance around the cradle and sing the song, "Nand Ke Ghar Anand Bhayo, Jai Kanhaiyalal Ki, Haathi Ghora Palaki Jai kanhaiyalal Ki." Hath-Prasadi and Makhan Misri is distributed among the Devotees.

Ganpati Utsav : On the 4th day of Badrapad (Bado) month, Idol of Lord Ganesh is brought to the temple with great pomp and show with Slogan of "Ganpati Bappa Moriya." After sthapana, puja, archana arti, bhog is offered every morning and evening for Seven Days. On the 7th day the Idol of Lord Ganpati is taken out for Visarjan (Immersion) at Versova Beach, Mumbai with great pomp and show, in procession of dancing and singing the slogan "Ganpati Bappa Moriya Pudhcha Varshi Laukariya".

Navratra : From the 1st day of Assu month, the festival of Goddess Durga Matta is celebrated for 9 days by singing and dancing. Garba dance and Dandiya Raas are the highlights of this festival. The devotees fast and worship the Goddess Durga. On Ashtmi (Eighth Day) Yagna is performed followed by Brahmabhoj to Brahmins and Kanyabhoj to Kanjka(Girls).On 9th day we perform Shatchandi Mahayagna followed by immersion of Goddess Durga idol. Devotees fast during this period.

Guru Nanak Jayanthi : Every year Guru Nanak jayanthi is celebrated with joy, pomp and show followed by Langar Prasad.

Lal Loai : On 13th January every year we celebrate Lal loi. At night the bonfire is lit and Devotees pray by breaking Shriphal (coconut) and offering the Prasad of Rewari (sweets made of til and sugar). Devotees do Parikrama of the bonfire five times followed by singing folk songs.

Mahashivratri : On 13th day of Phagun (krishan pakash), the festival of Mahashivratri is celebrated. Devotees observe fast for whole day and offer the mixture of milk, water, carrot, ber, bel patra, akdhatura etc. At night "Shiv Rudra Abhishek" is performed four times which goes on till morning. Minimum eleven brahmins chant the vedic mantra of Rudri paath continuously.



Every month mandir performs poojas for Ganesh Chaturti, Satyanarayan etc. The capacity of Mandir is insufficient. As the number of devotees is increasing the place is getting overcrowded.

The Trust has acquired a bigger structure which will not only have Temple Hall to accommodate increasing number of Devotees but will also have provision for Dharmashala, Diagnostic Center, abode for visiting Saints and Mahatmas, Soundproof basement for Mata Ka Jagran and Terrace Garden for Religious and Social activities. The Trust has started donation collection drive from all the well wishers for this noble project.
